Encourage Your Employees to Effective Engagement

As leaders, it’s our job to empower our team to be the best they can be. It is our job to engage and foster their drive to think and act with determination. It is NOT our job to take credit and force them to do everything our ‘specific’ way. The idea is to be a real team– one that works cohesively and consciously, not one that works as if they don’t know each other. As the leader, you should strive to encourage your team to do these three things:
  1. Improve Forward Thinking
  2. Engage in Conscious Collaboration
  3. Actually Implement Ideas
So how does one do these things? Look no further, friends, we have the answers below!
  • Encourage Forward Thinking: Your team is (hopefully) made up of hardworking individuals– the keyword here is individuals. Each one has opinions and thoughts on the day to day work, yet how often do you utilize those thoughts? Give them the space to share and grow said opinions and it will ultimately benefit you. You shouldn’t want a team full of sheep too scared to voice their own musings. You should want a team that thinks ahead and out of the box. Engage them to be proactive and they may surprise you.
  • Encourage Conscious Collaboration: A team is only as good as their ability to work together. When you encourage their collaboration, you are fostering a space of growth and productivity. Communication is absolutely everything when it comes to conscious collaboration. When you isolate your employees, you’re basically hindering the company’s capacity to thrive.
  • Encourage Implementation and Action: All these things are well and good, but they mean nothing without implementation. Empower the team to ACT on what they collaborated in the group meetings. Not only will this instill a sense of pride, but your productivity will soar as well. Implementation should be an ultimate goal! Encourage your team to act on their ideas and optimizations.
