Giving Thanks – What We Are Grateful For
“Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action.” ~W.J. CameronLove handles, hangovers and pumpkin spiced Pringles (Halloween, we’re talking to you buddy) all made for a festive October. We’ve barely had time to finish off the last of the Kit Kats, M&Ms and Lemonheads before finding ourselves squarely in the Holiday 2015 season. But frankly, it’s our favorite time of year. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect upon the past year and evaluate our successes (and failures…because even the things that didn’t quite work out are helpful in the long run.) So here’s what WE are thankful for.
A Great TeamWe work with smart, fun, interesting and crazy-committed team members. As a small company, our team knows that each and every one of them has the chance to make a huge impact on our business. They work tirelessly all year long to make a business a success. We absolutely could not do it all without them. And let’s be honest, as a start-up, sometimes functioning on mere minutes of sleep, our support system of friends and family members help in ways that you couldn’t imagine. It takes a village, people.
Great CustomersWe are fortunate to call some of the biggest companies in business our customers and partners. They’ve given input, provided ideas and actively shared their stories on our behalf. Their success is our success. And we cheer each new customer just as excitedly and just as loudly as we did our first.
A Great CommunityOrange County has long had an established tech industry, particularly in the healthcare and hardware sectors. And now, over the last decade, there’s a significant start-up community. Through the third quarter of this year, venture capitalists pumped $722 million into Orange County companies, up from $448 million a year earlier. We’re thankful to be in a community filled with thought leaders, entrepreneurs and a hugely talented pool of resources.
Great TechnologyWe’d be hard pressed to find a better SaaS and web app success initiative tool that’s more engaging and results-oriented than our own PoPin. And we’re not the only ones who think so. The technology and our amazing roster of customers has meant a successful $6M round of funding and the addition of another experienced board member, Adriel Lares to our team.
