Getting a B Round: Team, Product Fit, and a Little Grit

Just months after we raised our round, valuations and funding got much, much more difficult. All the back and forth I had gone through of whether I should wait to raise and get a better valuation in the new year seemed almost comical by Christmas. I was lucky I got it done. We were unproven, creating a new space, and based in Southern California. Not exactly the Silicon Valley formula for what to fund.
